Factbook - Statistics and maps. Not much here to help
with travel, but it'll give you the 20,000 foot view of the government and
economy.
- State Department Travel
Advisories - The State Department is always a little too
paranoid about third world travel. It's always a good idea to check out
their travel advisories before going anywhere, but I would take what they say
with a grain of salt. The diplomats who write these travel
advisories live in gated communities with servants and US Marine
guards.
- Center For Disease Control East
Africa Page - The CDC website is loaded with helpful
information for travellers. I strongly recommend a careful read of this
page before travelling anywhere in East Africa.
